Calling up Yahoo through my site

Should I be concerned?

I have a site a few months old, on a virtual host using Red Hat Linux.

The problem is that about 1 to 3 times a month my logs show another site being successfully called up. That is, the logs show a request like, "GET [yahoo.com...] HTTP/1.1 200" with the 200 code for delivery. The IPs have been different and the site called up is a large site like Yahoo or Intel. It's always just a single request for the other site's homepage.

I contacted my host company and they said this activity had showed up in other sites' logs, but that the server was secure.

If the server is secure, how can this happen? And other than blocking the IPs, should anything else be done?

This should explain it--take a look towards the end of this thread:
