multiple copies of the same pic?

do they all use bandwidth?

if i have multiple copies of a gif on one webpage....say a gif is 10k and i have it ten times....does the browser retrieve it ten times so i have used 100k bandwidth or does it repeat the info it already recieved and so in total i still only use 10k bandwidth?..thanks!

If the user-agent uses a cache, as allmost all of them do, it will request the graphic once and then use the cached version.
