Has anyone ever had any experience of these machines?

I only ask because I'm plagued with emails from UK Dreamcast users that are completely blank - only 'from' and 'to' addresses, nothing else. I assume that it's just the users not setting up their email properly, but I'd like to be able to reply to them with something other than a 'Sorry, your email was blank, please try again' type message.

If anyone has any pointers to any information I'd be grateful...

That is odd. I know that most dreamcast users have to use virtual keyboards (unless they buy a sega keyboard), but that doesn't explain the emails. You could try emailing sega net here [sega.com] and see if they have any ideas.

What do these show up as in a log? (agentname?). I can't recall seeing one.

I haven't seen one yet either (they just launched the service 2-3 weeks ago), but I'm pretty sure they use a custom browser.

Found this in one log:

Can't find an occurence of the UK one in the last week or so, I'll see if I can dig out some older logs and have a look.

Does anyone here own a Dreamcast system?

Had my nephew in for the holidays and he brought his alone. Played tokyo racer until 3am one night. Just wondering what the net features are like in it.
