Which is best for newspaper ads: subdomain or folder?

I have to advertise some specific pages of a website in a printed newspaper. What is better, you think: subdomain.example.com or example.com/subdomain?

IMHO subdomain looks better on the page, but directories are easier to remember when spoken. I don't have any data to support this, but personally I'd go for subdomains on written ads (which is what you're doing) and directories on radio ads.

Of course you can have both on your site just in case someone gets mixed up! :)
