Digital Certification in the UK which is also free.

Hi I'd like to get digital certification for a UK website (we are based in the UK), I was wondering if their are any digital certification programes for UK based websites as well as the certification being free, I dont really want to pay for it if possible.

What's digital certification? I know Microsoft have something for hardware drivers but I've never heard of anything for websites.
