My whole website appearing within someone else's frame on their domain

I wonder if anyone can help me? Last night I checked which URLs were referring visitors to my website (which has a Clickbank affiliate program) and, seeing one which I didn't recognise, went to see who my new affiliate was.

Rather than a site selling my product, I found my whole website (about 12 pages) replicated on someone else's domain name within a frame. I'm not technical enough to know how they have done this, but when I look at the source they have various keywords relating to my product and then a clickbank hop code. Also, if you close down the small frame at the top of the website, their clickbank hop code appears.

Just to make it even stranger, the clickbank code which was there yesterday is different from the one which is there today.

I can't find anything else on the domain.

I am at a loss as to what to do now. I don't want my site on this affiliate's domain. I have written to clickbank but as yet not received a reply, and I don't really know where I stand and what I can do about it. I am also worried because I run google ads on the site and I am not at all sure what is happening with those, nor for that matter how this is affecting my page rank.

I would be very grateful for any advice anyone can give me.

Hi SmallP, welcome to WWW

You can add this simple javascript that kill frame (found in [webmasterworld.com...]

<SCRIPT language="javascript"><!--
if (parent.frames.length > 0) {parent.location.href = location.href;}
// --></SCRIPT>

Then, regarding copyright issues, they are many posts regarding copyright infringment, use the search facility above.

But, you can always tried the following (though some of us will tell you it is useless and a waste of time).
1/ Get details about the website (author, host, etc.)
2/ Contact by email the webmaster of the website
3/ Contact their host

Similar things have happened to me in the past and when I contacted the offenders' hosting company they closed them down (which gave me enormous satisfaction).

Thank you both so much for your replies - they are very much appreciated! I have put the code up on the site to stop the frames, and I am going to try to track down the hosting company too. Isn't it amazing what some people will do, though!

Use any WHOIS domain website...

If you see host is a reputable international company, then you are almost sure that they will take action...

I had the same problem and their host was YAHOO! Then, I sent an email to the webmaster reminding him Yahoo policies regarding copyright infringment. I was too friendly and can understand BeeDeeDubbleU's satisfaction ;)
