When people ask you what you do?

What is the current trendy job title for a Webmaster

I have started calling myself a website publisher. I think this is pretty descriptive and does not need further explanation.

Does n't sound very sexy though!

That last thing I will do, when asked about my work, is tell anyone that I work in a computer related field. As soon as anyone knows that I work with computers, I will be inundated with "I have a problem with..." or "how do I..." computer questions. Since I type all day, I just tell people that I'm a secretary.

Gets a laugh and I can then either wander away or avoid answering.

i hate sayin i am a web designer since i think almost anyone these days can make some simple web designs and its way below of what i do, and if i say i am a web developer i am to lazy to keep explain to them details about what i do like web site optimization and etc... i usually say i do internet marketing and programming, i think it sounds cool enough :P and people get the idea

Usually I say to people I do "web stuff" for most people in a social arena, that's as far as you need to go...

Software Engineer? But that's because I'm do much much more programming than design, and I've got an engineering degree to back it up.

Its not true but I tell people that im a PornMaster, and im the star attraction. That usually gets them out of the room, but some woman find it strangly intriqing.

I've begun to tell people that I make the best widget in the world, and then ask, "Have you seen my web site at domain.com?"

I wish I was *just* a webmaster. That's plenty enough title for me.
