I've been looking at my spam messages because I've been building a very complete set of spam filters. Interesting, I noticed that some spam became very difficult to find with my filters - until I looked at it.

These spam messages were simply the IFRAME tag to their website. The rest of the spam was on the site. Thus, spam filters don't see the text and don't stop the message.

Of course, easy to stop now. Just added IFRAME to my filters and no more of this spam at all. Dropped a dozen emails a day from my inbox.

In my opinion, no valid email message has any business including an IFRAME.

Anyone have comments or a similar experience?

the W32.ElKern.4926 email worm also used iframe to spread.
i have never seen a business email using iframe, so i think
it's a good thing to filter such emails

Yep, the iframe filter is a real spam killer. As you've said, the use by legitimate senders would be extremely rare.

Check out the filter for BIG emails, it's catching quite a few now, too.
