I recently done a search for site title on Google. When looking through the serps i noticed a few pages that have my site name is their page title and a text link to my page in large letters. Directly below the letters there is also a description of my site one was taken from OPD description and a few have been taken from meta description. Above and below this link they are selling stuff!. The page only has a few inbound links from invisable text links on the homepage of their site. Anyone know what they are up to???

Sounds like they're trying to increase their popularity by riding on your coattails. Strange they've portrayed it so obviously, though. Maybe it was supposed to be a hidden html link and their CSS is bungled, hence it being so prominant?

So if it was you what would you do about it???

Could the other site using invisable links constitute a link from a bad area???

I'd be inclined to do nothing, but that's just me. IMO linking is just so fundamental to what the web is about. Apparantly you can't be hurt by people bad linking to you [webmasterworld.com].
