Need Stats worldwide

I'm looking for world wide stats on the quality of computer hardware, software, and internet connection speeds, by region or country -- for free, of course :)

Any suggested sources?

This is becoming crazy. What few statistics I can find contradict each other rather dramatically.

I've boiled it down to three questions I'd like to answer - and I'd settle for rough numbers "by continent":

1. Total Internet Accounts
2. Total Broadband Acounts
3. Common processor speeds -- or some other measure for the quality of user equipment RAM? OS?

Even thos first two questions are crazy to get straight answers for. There's a chaos of numbers - some reporting users, some reporting households, some reporting accounts, and most just "forecasting the coming boom in [fill in the blank]."
