Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
It's agents you need to talk to. They'll be able to tell you if its a good idea or not.
True, and even if it's a good idea, it can be difficult to get close to the entertainment industry.
I run an online magazine and 'entertainment' is one of my categories. It is absolutely one of the most difficult for me to maintain since I know no one in the entertainment business, and I have to be extra careful about the origin of my content. (i.e. photos, news stories, etc.)
But if you're that dependent on the involvement of actors, artists, musicians, etc., you will definitely have to talk to agents or other contact personnel to get your foot in the door.
