Hi,
i've spent a lot of time searching for a cms that will suit my need.

I found none.

I would like the cms to be able to manage traditional component (forum, newsletter, poll....) but I need also a good database management: I need to define groups of data, with custom fields, and establish RELATION between groups.

Example:

Group 1 = Companies
Groupe 2 = news

I would like to be able to establish relation between individual companies items end news items and vice versa.

Does any one know of a good CMS that will do this job? (Free open source or paid solution, i'm ready to put up $2000).

Thanks in advance,
Brakkar

Could you please explain with CMS you've looked at? What you're asking for does not seem too difficult.

The last one I studied in details was Drupal. I also looked at Joomla. Some commercial solutions, and many from [cmsmatrix.org...]

Cordially,

I would like to be able to establish relation between individual companies items end news items and vice versa.

This sounds more difficult than simply putting news in the category "news" and companies in the category "business" what most CMS systems can do. You want links between indivitual items from different categories if I understand you correctly.

The only free available CMS I can think off which can probably make this type of combinations is typo3. But be prepared, there is a pretty steep learning curve for typo3.
