can you have your email with someone other than your host?

Hi,

I love my host but the email program we use, SquirrelMail, is a little too basic for my tastes.

Is it possible to have my email addresses - ex. myname@mydomain.com - hosted somewhere else or does it have to be through my host? If it is possible, is there a way to import my saved emails to the new email host?

Thanks!

SquirrelMail is a webmail system.

Does your host let you download your mail with POP or IMAP?

Are you looking for an alternative host which provides webmail, or are you looking for an alternative host which provides POP3 or IMAP access?

Redirect all your website mail to an account(s) with your ISP and adjust the reply-to address (in Outlook, etc.) so that any outgoing mail you send on this account receives replies through your website address.

I've never tried this but it should work.
