Does anyone know of an open source CMS that allows users to create their own website with an online editor?

I'm looking for similar functionality to Google pages or similar sites... it's going to be for people who have very little HTML/graphics experience.

I have considered using a blog site template, but I'd like the users' pages to look a little more professional and traditional. That's not to say that blogs don't look professional :-)

If you are a savy sys guy you can try Zope.org

You will need to know how to deal with Apache and how to install some prgramming languages and keep them all going.

Sorry, I should have been slightly more specific- I'm looking for a PHP-based script... but thanks for the tip, zope.org looks interesting. I just can't afford to learn yet another programming language!

LoL I am in the same boat different side, PHP is the only thing I don't know and I am not really willing to learn. You can try Mambo, I think it is called.

There are several I am using right now. One is PHPwebsite and the other is Joomla. PHPwebsite is very simple to use and change. Joomla is a little more complicated but also has more features/functionality. Keep in mind though whatever you decide there will be a learning curve.
