Incredibill gave me a heads up to a security bulletin about a vulnerability in WordPress that would allow a DoS attack to be executed through an installation of WordPress.

The official WordPress website doesn't mention the specific security issues addressed, so it's hard to say if the above security threat is the one being addressed or if it was bogus.

From the WordPress Website [wordpress.org]:

An important security issue has been brought to the attention of the WordPress team and we have worked diligently to bring you a new stable release that addresses it. Our latest version 2.0.2 contains several bugfixes and security fixes.

Probably a good idea to download the new version.

Yeah it is probably a good idea when you see generic warning with an update. It must be bad for them to not say what it is.
