got a buddy that uses usps shipping , he was told to upgrade to adobe 7.9 (he has win 2000 and printer works fine on every thing), now when trying to print the label or any thing else from adobe it crashes.

The Adobe Support site [adobe.com] has a lot of documentation. Have you had any luck there?
