How often do you check your sales statistics?

I check my stats many times each day, cycling through my major sponsors' stats reports, my stats page, my adwords pages, etc. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

I kind of feel like it's obsessive behaviour, sort of like manic handwashing (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I've tried to limit myself to once or twice a day but always fall back into the routine of checking 6 to 10 times a day.

It's gone on like this for 6 months. I feel like Howard Hughes in the bathroom scene in The Aviator morphing into the scene where his girlfriend has to cut his hair and nails for him.

Until you start making real money. Then you won't be so panicked about it.

Been there, done that!

Yeah, ain't it great seeing all that cash roll in, you simply have to check on it all the time!

It does eventually become boring and you will quit the habit. Until then "enjoy", you are making money from something that is easy, enjoyable and fun.

After 12 to 24 months you will find it is repetitive and discover much more fun in other things, like how to spend it :)

I am *really* having a problem with this, my real business is going down the drain while I watch pennies trickling past.
