please tell me how you think this CMS is done.

So I want to model a site after a system I like, it would have a static url like so:

[somesite.com...]

The page generates with just the above url put in the browser, no specific page, the directory does not have an index.htm file and does not use file.cgi?action=ldkjfl etc. like most dynamic pages I have seen.

What would this type of system use?

Possibly an htaccess file that passes "bluewidget" into a products page.
