Forward SPAM to law enforcement?

Just ignore it, or send it to the legal folks?

Howdy,
I've noticed a new round of fraudulent SPAM going around (this time about the "Mobutu" family). Up to now, I've simply ignored it - but since the messages are clearly illegal (i.e. fraudulent) - should I contact my local attorney general or other law enforcement agency?
And if yes - who to report it to? I'm guessing state attorney general.

It's not new. It's just another variant of the never-ending stream of "Nigerian Banking" scams. Families tragically separated by war and political upheaval, with millions of dollars locked away in some foreign bank...

This page [home.rica.net] has a whole section on where to report them, depending on your location, at the bottom of the page...

And here's the Better Business Bureau's page [bbb.org] on the subject. The recommend sending copies of Nigerian scam emails to the US Treasury's task force address:

...forward Nigerian Scam emails to the Task Force's email address at 419.fcd@usss.treas.gov
