I'm wondering if this bounced email means there is something wrong with my domain or recipent's domain or email address.

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

The date of the message is: Tue, 7 Feb 2006 12:20:49 -0300

Seems like they don't recognize me, so they are bouncing me but the address is ok.
Is that right?
In that case what can I do since I'm not the administrator.
Must I talk with my hosting company and ask them something specific?

You need to check your reverse DNS -- That is, look up your domain name by using your IP address. If the lookup fails, then some mail servers will reject your e-mail.

You can use any number of tools to do this. The simplest one may be to just ping your server's IP address, and see if ping can resolve the hostname.

I'm on a shared server...
What would I expect from dns lookup?
If I perform based on my site IP (that is shared with other domains too) the dns of my provider appears.

If I instead do it based on my domain: "No A records were found for mydomain" appears.

What do I have to ask to my hosting provider?
They told me they reseted the mail server but I'm pretty sure that doesn't have anything to do with the problem.

Any help please?

Is that a problem that affects websites on shared servers only?
