As webmaster to a local dog sanctuary I am looking to add the ability to Donate online to our site. The charity has taken time to get used to being online but the benefits are now obvious to all. Do you recommend PayPal or Netbanx or World Pay especially who charge fees or are there other secure sites that are just as good but less expensive to use - we are not selling anything and need all the funds

Thanks

Network For Good seems to be used by many non-profits. My church actually uses them. I am not sure about the exact fees though. Hope this helps.

Yes, I see what you mean. This is one of those sites that allows you to donate, through them, to a charity registered with them. Not quite what I meant but thank you for your help anyway.

I want to sign up to a company that will allow people to type in their credit cards and take the money straight to our Charity securely - but one where the fees are not too high.

Any more suggestions out there please

I am also building a donation page inconjunction with an existing web site that uses a secure credit card service and I found out that we would loose money using the sites service so i am going with paypal.

I would recommend PayPal. Their fees aren't extremely high and no matter which service you use, you will surely have to pay some fees.

I've seen services that take a higher percentage of your donation than PayPal does, and a few that take less. The problem is, the few that take less are lower-level businesses without the reputation of PayPal, so most don't trust them.

I've done a few adoption sites and have ended up going with paypal. No complaints.

I would recommend PayPal.

Same here. And, you can always expect PayPal to be improving and adding new features. It's easy to set up and the fees are reasonable.

I've never used it, but you should also look into Amazon's "Honor System" program.

There are allways going to be more people with credit cards than PayPal, why not allow people to pay directly from their cards into your account? Through perhaps Verisign.

Also people are more likely to donate if they get something in return. Why not make a calendar or mousepads or similar with pics of cute dogs or something and sell for maybe 100$.
