I am running an offshore web development company which is a team of very well skilled web developers. I get work from USA and UK however I am not happy with the amount of work I get, I mean I want to search for new clients and I want to establish my company more. I tried many Project Bidding websites but,i could be wrong on this, their process is not fair and clear to out source projects as i submitted very good bids but never heard back.
Anyway, the thing I want to discuss in this thread is that how can I be RICH :D. I mean how can i get more clients and work and I wonder if Professionals here share their experience about getting more work and clients.
Also is this only the way to make 'Big Bucks' from general-users web portals and then earn from Ads on it?

the moral is, the only way to get more clients is if more people know about you.
other than SEO, what are the techniques to get more and more people to know about my company and services?

In my case, word-of-mouth has been the key. For example, I designed a small website for a company in Boston, MA, U.S., and the business owner mentioned my name to another business owner who needed a website for his business.
These two business owners also belong to local professional organizations, so my name (business) was tossed around there as well.
Also...(you may not desire, or have the time to attempt this!)...you can seek out businesses that currently have horrible sites, and inquire about revamping it. There are TONS of small to medium-sized businesses that either don't take the time to seek a professional web developer, or don't know where to find one.
Sometimes, you can easily find these type companies if you know the size and popularity of their business, and see that they have an ugly website.
If they are a very small, 3-person company with an ugly website, they may not care about their online appearance. But larger companies usually do.
