Do spiders follow META Refresh tags?

The reason I ask, is because some of my pages that contain only a simple meta refresh tag, are showing up as backlinks to the url contained within the meta refresh tag.

Can rel="nofollow" be added to meta refresh tags?

Thanks.

I am not going to be of much help on this other than to concur that google will follow the meta refresh.

I doubt it would hurt to put the rel=nofollow tag in, so give it a go; the other option of course would be to place a noindex tag on the destination page.

A robots meta with nofollow, noindex might be observed.
