Do speed and browser simulators exist? If so, are they free?

Is the any free software or online service that lets broadband users preview what how their site would load on standard dial-up? Also, is there any type of free simulator to see how your site would look and act in different browsers?

I use CoffeeCup to build my sites, it has the speed tester built in, calls it "document weight"

Evrsoft finally released FrontPage 2006! It's currently in pre-release but, it has a feature which allows you to analyze the page size. It lists the transfer time for 14K modem - LAN/T1. That's kind of helpful but, I want to see how my website would behave on a browser such as Opera without having to download and install that browser. The posts above are greatly apperciated but, is there a program or website which can simulate specific browsers for free?
