For some reason this braille image of the google logo keeps popping up when I do web searches. Any idea what it's all about?

Just commemorating Louis Braille's birthdate. G does this for President's Day and many other famous people's birthdays, too.

If you click on the logo, it takes you to a Google search for Louis Braille.

Louis Braille who invented "braille", a world wide system of embossed type used by blind and partially sighted people for reading and writing. The person responsible for inspiring the blind or partially sighted people to discover the world of knowledge.

Its just a tribute to the great man.
