Hello all,

I am new to the board but am somewhat familar with the technological aspects of web publishing. However, I am having trouble with Search Engines such as Google, MSN, Yahoo and others showing my TITLE in their results. Rather, they show simply my site address <snip>

A) - How can I get the engines to read my META Tags and show the correct title ...

and

B) - If anyone has any tips on how to rank higher and what keywords I should use I would be interested to hear them.

I have been using a META analyzer and thus far, it rates my keyword relevancy, description and everything else as 90% - 100%. Yet, I have had no luck moving up on the rankings.

I am using Yahoo Page Builder if that helps.

Hi FoxxLeague and Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]!

A) - How can I get the engines to read my META Tags and show the correct title ...

Check your HTML markup. Most search engines use the title tag. If they're all ignoring it, you have coded something wrong.

If anyone has any tips on how to rank higher and what keywords I should use I would be interested to hear them.

Forget meta tags for keywords (other than the TITLE tag).
