Ok, here's my situation, I have a site with Adsense in the domain and now I've been contected by Adsense saying I can't have adsense ads on sites with adsense in the domain. So I was considering changing domains but keeping all the content the same, same layout etc. I'm in the sandbox with my first site so if I bought an expired domain, then I could actually be ahead of the game. I would still do a redirect obviously from my old domain to new as alot of my traffic is currently type in, the problem with this obviously is I wouldn't have any backlinks anymore and would have to start working my link campaign again, any thoughts?

A 301 permanent redirect from the old pages will take care of that won't it? The existing backlinks to the old domain will get directed to the new pages on the new domain, as long as you leave the old domain up. During the interim, you can ask those linking to you to change the URL. Sorry if I'm missing something here.

Yep, 301 permanent redirect is a good solution.
