Hotlink Disabling for select folders

On a particular site I run, there's a folder with audio and video files. Is there anything I can do to that folder (through CHMOD maybe) that will allow people to listen to audio if they click on a link on one of my pages, but disallow hotlinking of the audio from another website? I'm getting too many people hotlinking music.

There's a pretty nifty snippet of code on that site to prevent hotlinking of images from certain sites or all sites, but I'm not sure how I would change the coding to reflect .mp3 and .wma files.
