whats the best way to handle a parked domain?

i just purchased a domain name which i will be using only in a few months. at the moment the domain shows a "parked page" with ads supplied by my registrar. i dont have any hosting so cant upload content or a robots.txt

im keen to get rid of the ads since SEO is important and i dont wish to get listed as having bad content

if i forward it to a temporary index page of my choice, will SE pick up this forwarding and give me bad points?

thanks for any advise

This is obvious that the parked domains are considered bad form and possibly it will be seen as duplicate content by the search engines.I think the 301 redirect might be the right way to point multiple domains to a common domain.
