Also their account login. Why offer a "remember me" option if you are not going to remember me? I always I have re-login re-login re-login. Even multiple times on one session.
As for the login, it does remember you, just not your password. Yes, it's a pain, but it's also a security measure. I happen to use computer labs on my campus often and there are always people forgetting to logout of their hotmail accounts, yahoo accounts, messengers, school accounts, etc. You have to protect the naïve by inconveniencing the intelligent ones. ;)

2) I'd rather have customizability in my own hands. I don't want them to pick what content to show me because I've been there a few times. There are other times that I might want to see something else, but I might not even know it exists anymore because yahoo filtered it out for me without letting me know.
I think the my.yahoo.com thing is great. It's linked to your profile, so you can use your settings on any computer without affecting other users and it's highly customizable.
