WE WERE GIVEIN THE PROJECT OF FINDING COMPANIES TO SELL AD SPACE ON THE INTERNET. HOW DO YOU FIND THEM? I HAVE LOOKED UNDER EVERY RELATED TOPIC I COULD THINK OF AND COULD NOT FIND ANY THAT WOULD SELL ADVERTISING SPACE FOR ME. IT IS WORSE THAN TRYING TO FIND A BUSINSS IN THE YELLOW PAGES IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE CATAGORY.

When you send them e-mails dont type in all CAPS, in the internet world your yelling.

Thus the same is thought of as people read the thread ;) Thats my two cents for your venture of seeking information for advertising! (:

Advertising is so 90's. You will want to do affiliate programs. Unless you command hundreds of thousands of eye balls you will not find 100% advertisers anymore.

search for "affiliate programs".

I would have to agree with Lisa,

Unless you have a large volume of targetted traffic (where you can back this up with demographics)...you simply wont get any value by displaying big horrible ads around what could have been a perfectly good site :)

Sponsored text links and affiliate programs are IMO the least intrusive, least annoying and valuable method of getting a return from a content or commercial site

but ads are good...here and there, but not everywhere :)
