I'm trying to get very low latency hosting.

By low latency, I mean minimum average hop distance between the host and the majority of north american / UK / europe.

I do not necessarily need high uptime / high bandwidth / great support / etc hosting.. but just hosting that has very very low latency, ie: great peering arrangements.

How would you go about finding this out?

Right now I'm looking at rackshack / serverbeach, but I am not confident that they're the best in the biz for low
latency.

I've tried netcraft, but is the info representative of the whole world? How can I be confident that it is?

After the cogent issues, I am in desperate need of good, reliable low latency.

Just how fast are you needing the pages to be served up?

Basically, fastest possible.

Right now, I'm looking at Internap / Level3 / Peer1 hosting.

Look into companies that specialize on game servers.
