reliable UK web host

I have problems with the cheap hosting plans from US, the web sites were done a few days now.

Any body recommend a reliable host with good service quality also?

Sorry this topic might not be in the right place but this is the only place which is UK specific

Basically with very limited down time, with CGI / Per /PHP /MySQL /FTP /Email / Admin control panel, 500 MB storage 1GB bandwidth should be enough.

I know Fasthost and oneandone should be quite reliable but

Fasthost seems to be too expensive option.

Oneandone did not support DNS transfer, they insist you change the registration to them which is disgusting!

I've no real experience of Fasthosts or One and one but I have read a LOT of bad reports about both of them.

When you're thinking of a host try a google search on their name and see if anything negative (or positive) comes up.

I can thoroughly recommend Pair.com in the USA. I know that you said that you wanted a UK company, but you will have to look hard to find a better deal than Pair. Their up-time is fantastic and the accounts include a LOT more "bandwidth" than their UK counteparts.

For about £13 a month you get everything that you had on your list.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I finally select clook.net, they are really good, technical questions are answered very quickly, and my account was set up in a few miniutes, and the server seems to be quite stable and fast. I haven't experienced any down time up to now ( around 2 weeks)
