I want to site submit to a few UK SE's, but my business is in Spain. Does anyone know if this precludes me from adding a site on UK Se's?
Thanks.
Doug.

Basically depends on each Search Engine/Directories listing criteria.

You will certainly find some that will, especially if you have relevant content to the UK surfers.

Obviously you will not turn up in search results with UK filters applied.

It is certainly worth a try, go for the major .co.uk's first and keep your fingers crossed.

Don't try to bluff them by checking a UK county or similar because it may come back on you.

Thanks for the prompt answer.
Basically, all of our clients come from the UK and Ireland and so far we've got business from the dot com's but now looking for more business from the dot co dot uk SE's.
Perhaps I should now ask who would the members add a site to, if you wanted to reach as many people as possible for free, from the UK and Ireland and assuming as mine is, that your business was outside of the UK? Also assuming you could only have the time to submit to five of them.
Bearing these factors in mind, what five would you choose?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

I assume your site is a .co.uk domain and hosted in the UK. If so, you should not have any problems.

Aim to get a listing in DMOZ under the UK section.

That'll get things motoring in the correct direction.
