I tried to list my site in DMOZ UK, and hennce included by Google driectory ( UK ) also, but it still did not work;
I tried to add UK to the title and content of every page, it did not work either;
The same thing actually happens to Inktomi also.
Please help

Everyone is right, when the searcher clicks on "pages from the UK" Google first uses the TLD to do the sort.
Since many large companies who have compained they should not be penalized for not using the local TLD Google now takes the second step of looking for UK based IP's.
If you do not have either one of them you will not come up. In other markets like Germany, where language is thrown in, it gets a bit more complicated.
