Today I noticed that there is not any more Directhit on Ask.co.uk.

Did that technology dead?
Is there any engine still utilising the click popularity?

Angiolo, hi.

Direct Hit [thestandard.com] is a Teoma property and that is owned by AskJeeves.

Ask.co.uk uses the Teoma engine for data.

Hi engine!

you are right, but since few days ago there was the Directhit results in evidence; they seemed different, separate results.

Yes, the Direct Hit engine was different to Teoma. I'd guess they finally decided to pull the plug.

When Direct Hit was running it was quite an effective engine. Having said that, Teoma is turning out to deliver quality results. They just need to get a bigger DB, IMHO.
