Is anyone using the ask alix business directory.

They have a very pushy sales staff, but are they worth it. To be honest I've never heard of them.

well, I got a free listing with them about 3 weeks ago, zero traffic so far so I'm dubious about paying for a 'premium' listing. At least you get a crawlable link back with a premium listing though......

Hi LLoyd

I think we covered this previously - try searching for AskAlix using site search (top of the page).

I think the overall view was 'not good'

Talk about pushy :(

They have phoned me that many times that I refuse to speak to them anymore, they did give me a free listing , must of been about 6 months ago and not one single hit.

i had a free listing years ago when they used to boast 'Freeserve and AOL use us' - wonder if they still play that speech?

i never once saw a click from them in what was a pretty good terms - golf gti

The directory is still syndicated across a number of other sites (includes some FreeServe stuff) and hence receives more than just traffic through Askalix's site itself.

Paying for a premium listing means that the information can be updated online and no more contact with sales people! The free listing is worth taking up though, as long as you realise that every time you put a change through, you'll get a sales guy call to confirm soon after!...
