Teoma.co.uk

(sorry not a new engine - just a .com pointer)

I have just noticed that teoma.co.uk now points to teoma.com for searches.

I wonder if there are any plans for a UK specific search?

teoma.co.uk and teoma.com both display PPC listings from overture UK for searches from the UK (IP based searching?). main search results on both .com and .co.uk show lots of UK spam sites. disappointingly, askjeeves.co.uk uses the junk from teoma.co.uk ....

what do teoma.com and teoma.co.uk display from outside the UK?

I contacted ineedhits - the submission partners for Teoma - regarding this query in September and they replied as follows:

Thank you for contacting us with your query. There are no plans at present for the Teoma database to include Ask UK into its index, however if you wish to advertise your site with Ask UK I would suggest contacting them directly. To access the Ask UK website please visit [ask.co.uk....]

Not a great deal of help but I guess it clarifies the situation a little.

I have to say it would be a valuable addition to the UK searchers to have more UK centric results but then again that could be said for other SEs...

...another thread maybe

Things are changing - Teoma UK will become more useful.

Is that just a hunch - or do you have inside info?
