In Denmark we have practically no baths at all, in fact, in many flats in Copenhagen people have makeshift showers in the kitchen!
I have one, but it's a granny bath, ya know, the kind you have to sit up straight in?
I really enjoyed the hotel, perhaps cos I've stayed in so many hovels during my travels in the past: The staff were polite and pleasent, the plsce was clean and there was no shortage of beer ;)

I think you can see that many new business relationships and friendships were cast at last week's conference.
As for the bathtubs, well, that's about the only thing I wasn't ready to complain about with regard to the hotel. I got such poor service (and complained about it enough) that I actually got them to knock a day off of my bill ... heh heh.
they've fixed the bridge...sadly
next year, if anyone wants, I can set up a day/evening of lesser known but amusing bits of London with maybe a gig or a club thrown in (I know a few people running such) or maybe a pub theatre trip (I know even more people running these)...not all the best bits of this city are famous

Yep, let's have the next one where the smokers can go outside. I saw a lot of non-smokers outside quite often and it was freezing.
Thorughly enjoyed myself and learnt much, including building relationships with Overture and some other useful contacts, not forgetting Google throwing £100.00 at us. Highlight of the event was a long chat with Danny.
I actually thought the Hotel was cheap for London, expected to pay over £100 per night. Only complaint was that the bar shut at 3:30 Friday night.
Cittie of York was an excellent venue, didnt quite get round to the food but did sample the wet stuff.
Boston sound good to me if only I can persuade the Management, she may have to come with me (which would spoil the late evening networking).

as i said elsewhere, pubcon was amazing - so many people meeting so many others, making business contacts, even just seeing so many people swapping business cards etc showed just how important these meetings can be. and yes, i now realise how much i missed out by not getting a room in the thistle (only a few miles from me).
i doubt if i can make it over the the states for the next official meeting, but some people over here have said they're up for an "unofficial" WebmasterWorld meeting in london sometime soon. i'm all for it.

The Thistle: Mixed reviews. Several people swapped rooms, and 3 pulled out and went down the street.
Was it a case of throw your keys on the table like a wife/husband swapping thing.....
And for those 3 that urinated in the street, the toilets at the Thistle were well sign-posted so tut tut tut shame on you!
I'm also up for an unofficial, Pub Con Jr. in London (or somewhere else in the UK if that'd be preferred by the majority)

The afternoon session at the Cittie of Yorke was mighty potent. But it was nearly overshadowed for me by 4 days of round-the-clock conversations at the Thistle. I begrudged every minute that I had to sleep, so I only got about 3 hours a night (well, it really was morning).
My horizons were pushed so far that I can barely decide which directions I'll explore next. And my laryngitis only lasted a day or so.
Everyone I met was good company, and a unique character as well. Glad to have made so many connections, and to have so many faces and personalities hooked up with their nick.
