Targeting UK for Google ads means?

If I opt to target UK users onle, will my ads only appear on google.co.uk (both web and UK search), or will they appear on google.com also for UK IP addresses?

I think that is correct ASSUMING their IP database is current. Some time back it was determined that their IP database vendor had missed a VERY LARGE Canadian ISP and some peoples USA targeted ads were being seen in Canada. They were kind enough to correct that.

There was also a thread about some UK subscribers to satellite not getting the adwords because their IP address was held by a dutch company.
