I was just looking through some of the other UK search engines, and took another look at searchengine.com (now searchuk.com).

Any searches appear to return redirected ODP categories, and 0-5 results from Espotting. Then I looked for the 'next page' link....and it doesn't seem to exist anymore.

I thought that they had their own crawled database? Whatever happened to that?

You can't even class this as a search engine anymore. If they used all of espotting's results and the Inktomi backfill listings then it would still be an OK service; but it is a nothing in its current state. Who would ever use it?

Looks like they gave up the search engine game altogether and are simply using the domain to earn a few pence here and there.

I just noticed that they even have an 'advanced search' page...which makes absolutely no difference. Specifying 10, 50 or 100 results per page still returns 5 results.

They are also still advertising their £75 fast track inclusion, as well as their standard URL submission. So if someone paid the £75 fast inclusion fee, where would their site be included?

Perhaps this site is just sleeping for the summer.
