I'm delighted to announce that this forum has been expanded to include Ireland.

Our new forum charter is:
This forum is for those search engines and directories based in the UK and Ireland.
The UK has now become a major Internet force and is often seen as a good testing ground for US-based services to establish a foothold and migrate through into other European markets. This growth is reflected in the popularity of the co.uk domain and has carried over to web site numbers, search engines and directories.

Growth of Internet traffic in Ireland is a combination of a fast growing economy and the establishment of many international businesses in the country.

What are your views on the development of search engines and directories in the UK & Ireland?

Oldtimer and I hope that anyone with an interest in Ireland will join us here.

A new roomier house. Congratulations!

Have been trying to have the name of my forum changed to Other European Search Engines, so as not to create the impression that UK & Ireland are part of the US, but in fact of Europe. So far I haven't had any success, but I'll keep trying.

I shall be celebrating this tonight by an extra big serving (or two, or maybe three) of my favourite whisky: Paddy.

Good luck!
- Jan

The Americans think that you guys are the 51st and 52nd states. As an upright and loyal European, I certainly wouldn't want to give nourishment to such unhealthy perceptions. Brussels needs all the support they can get. We all have to stand behind our eurocrats you know ;)

PS. The answer to your question: then 0, now 2.
