Almost all our results are related to Google

I have been running an information site for a UK audience for the last 2 years. Our subject matter is niche but a certainty for everyone. We do not generate big hits, around 10,000 page hits or 4,000 unique visitors a month. My concern is that we generate very little traffic from anything not Google related. Can anyone give me an idea of where their own site or sites they manage get UK hits from? Our site is also fully indexed by Alta Vista, and can be found on ASK, MSN UK, Yahoo and Lycos

One of my larger UK customers gets 80% of his traffic from Google.

Although he ranks well for his main target phrases on the other SEs, Google has simply catalogued more pages (he has 200+ pages).

This is clearly unhealthy, and we are trying to increase the traffic from other sites, but it may not be that unusual.

HI Lotus and 4 eyes, keep the postings going!

Lotus Google is good for the UK but I find Lycos.co.uk good for traffic also. They generate about 60% of what Google refers to us. Alta Vista UK is poor now and the big surprise package for me is ASK. They at times generate the most UK hits for me, I asssume its something to do with the fact that it was voted number UK SE and appears on TV fairly regularly. Yahoo UK is average and refers a similar amount to Lycos. The only other one of note would have to be BT Looksmart, they provide the search results for lots of UK ISPs ie BT, NTL etc.
