Google's DeepMind has a deal with the NHS where around 1 million patient records were shared so that an app can be built to help doctors with alerts.
Author Hal Hodson said that it was "inexcusable" patients were not told how their data would be used.

Google's DeepMind said that the report contained "major errors".

It told the BBC that it was commissioning its own analysis and rebuttal, which the authors said they welcomed. Google's DeepMind Deal With NHS Criticised [bbc.co.uk]

My hospital & doctor use an app for various health related uses. I uploaded a lot of my personal history and used the app for a while: appointments, perscriptions, etc.

Then I started reading about data breaches & hacks everywhere so I decided it wasn't very smart. Took quite an effort to get my info removed.
