TalkTalk, one of the UK's major ISPs has, again, been hit by a data breach. This is not the first time, but this latest one seems much more significant. I know a few people with TalkTalk accounts and some are getting many calls per day from scammers following up from
the previous data breach. [bbc.co.uk] Those calls are coming in such a long time later that it's likely this data from the latest breach is going to filter through the scammers for some time to come.
It said there was a chance that some of the following customer data, not all of which was encrypted, had been accessed:
Names and addresses
Dates of birth
Email addresses
Telephone numbers
TalkTalk account information
Credit card and bank details
