I can speak from experience, and i've been to many places in the UK that are poorly served, not just by broadband but by phone signals for mobile broadband. The ambition should be greater, and investment needs to be faster, especially outside of town and cities.
Broadband and mobile phone signals must be treated the same as other utilities, such as water, electricity and gas supplies.
I'm hopeful the Government report, due out this year, will address the concerns of many outside of towns and cities.

The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) says that the UK's broadband target is simply not ambitious enough when compared to other nations.
It is calling on the government to commit to delivering a minimum of 10Mbps (megabits per second) for all homes and businesses by 2018/19.
