Please bear in mind that services such as Google.co.uk are based upon the main google database with filtering. By filtering, I'm refering to the SERP delivery excluding domains other than uk tlds.
Directories will usually exclude non-uk-based services unless they are clearly offering to a uk audience. Try this thread here on how to get a .com appearing in the uk results. [webmasterworld.com]
