I am looking for UK based PPC search engines,

I have already found GoTo and Espotting and wondered if there are any more.

I would be interested in hearing your comments and experiences with these PPC services especially with regard to their integration into 'regular' search engine results and their effectiveness in attracting visitors on these 'regular' search engines.

Thanks. :)

hi paul & welcome WmW

To be honest the two you've mentioned IMHO are the only one's worth even considering offering any money too. I've been using goto for sometime and they offer a good service and considering who they have on the books are about the only real player, but expensive :(

Mirago - may be worthwhile on competitive keywords

I've never really given Mirago much time, are they still charging min bid 10p?

thanks guys, :)

you confirmed what I sorta expected from lurking the forum for a few weeks, I had a look at mirago but 10p/click is a bit pricey.

10p a click from a search engine no one has heard of is incredible - what balls they must have!

I completely agree but although not many people have heard of Mirago they do also show results on Ask, which to my amazement gets used quite a lot.

I use Mirago extensively and while the 10p minimum is a sore point, most of the traffic comes on keywords where the bid price is much higher than that. Visitor quality is very good and quantity is ok through the Ask Jeeves tie-in though not as high as GoTo UK.

I agree with simon_c on Mirago. The quality of traffic is pretty good and because many people are put off by the high minimum bid, it allows you to sometimes get a decent listing on Ask at a fraction of the price you may have to pay GoTo for a competitive term. Not one to be dismissed out of hand - but to be maybe used as part of ones strategy. SEOs get a discount too ;)
