Mirago dots in filenames

Looks like someone has found a way to spam mirago

some one is getting very good results on Mirago with doorway pages with filenames like

this.that.the.other.html

anyone any idea whether this tactic might be generally effective?

Why waste the time.

My No.1 spots on mirago get me 1 or 2 hits a month.

Instead of spamming Mirago, I decided my time would be better used by spending 30 minutes running up and down the street shouting out the URL of my page - I get more hits that way:)

(although I am worried I might get banned for repetition!)

If you can ding the number 1 slot then expect some very good traffic from ask.co.uk. The ratio runs about 9-1 in my experience.

Nice technique ... so the next step will be a 'hallway links cooperative' where a dozen webmasters all get in on the act, shouting out each others URLs through the letterboxes along their streets and thus promote directly into the hallways of all the homes. :)

I was going to try cloaking - paying a mate to shout the wrong URL through the letter box whilst I break in through the back door and type the right address into the PC

but at that stage spamming Mirago starts to just have the edge.
