I've personally never come across a .eu domain in the UK's SERP's, how does google treat these?
If we look at it logically then the UK is in the EU so they should really show up in the UK/Ireland searches, but is this really the case? I'm assuming that .co.uk version of the site would have a greater chance of ranking than a .eu.

More seriously I have seen a uk hosted .eu showing up in the UK serps in both Google and Yahoo, however Ask and MSN both eliminate the same uk hosted .eu from their UK only results (it is in the full web results in both engines)
